The Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service Corps was established in 1984 as part of the Ceremonial Unit. It provides a different link between the fire service and the public. We adhere to the fire service core values and use music to spread community safety messages and also hope that our music is enjoyed by the many thousands that watch us each year.
Recruiting
We are looking for people aged 16 years or over to join us, no previous playing experience is required but would be an advantage if you've played any instrument at any level
You will be part of Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue service and represent them at local, national and international events.
All training, uniform and instruments are supplied free of charge, transport to and from various venues are also free.
Rehearsals take place on Wednesday evenings at Clyst St George HQ EX3 0NW and one Sunday a month at the same venue.
